The photographs in this book are different than those found in the other books of photos published by Chickadee Press. This book displays amateur and professional photographs of women who worked as prostitutes from 1870 to 1930. Some of the women are fully clothed and others are nude. The author has collected these photographs since 1993. They come from a variety of sources. Some of the images are in good condition while others have deteriorated.
