Early lesbian-themed novel by Kenneth Johnson, writing as Justin Kent, for Gilbert Fox's Vixen Press; later reprinted in various sleaze-paperback incarnations.
Johnson, described in a 1960 House hearing on Circulation of Obscene and Pornographic Material as "a man who came from the South with considerable writing ability and settled in Harlem," was induced to submit a confidential report to Congress regarding his knowledge of publishers and distributors of erotic materials, and his statements were later used in various obscenity trials. (from Ebay offer)

noteThis was published years before the First Niter Wee Hours After Hours paperback books now prized. No publisher indicated. Written by Justin Kent, a pseudonym for a witness in an obscenity trial held in New York City in 1955. His real name appears in the book TIMES SQUARE SMUT by Jim Linderman, as well as in government documents. Note price on cover? It is printed. These were sold only in a few bookstores in Times Square and usually had very small print runs (at the time, illegal print runs!) 128 pages. Certainly a key book for a collection of early lesbian literature and a key piece in the Eugene Bilbrew body of work. This DOES NOT appear in the new edition of SinaRama.
