note | "She was a baby-doll with a woman's passion ... she wanted to play the game of love but didn't know the rules!"
"Exceedingly scarce. Yet another incarnation of GHS's sci-fi sleaze masterpiece, its new cover and title seeming to promise "goods" this nevertheless engaging tale cannot (and need not) deliver. The nukes have landed, and the rats are taking over. Humanity's only hope is to fight back while repopulating the earth, via methods involving the courageous coming together of men and women. NOTE: This is the identical page-block as the legendary Pike #203. Even the interior title page gives "The Coming of the Rats". I suspect that these were leftover page-blocks not bound in the 1961 first print-run. They are cut down in height and width, minimizing the margins. As such, this is ironically the rarest of the four publications of the novel, the remaining two being printed by Digit and Priory." (from an internet offer) |
